NJ Mortgage-Paying off Your Mortgage Becoming a Trend?
Remember the old days, when people who owned NJ homes wanted to pay off their NJ mortgage as soon as possible? The days where you mortgage seemed like a necessary evil? Well, maybe you are too young to remember those days, but that was everyone’s goal…to pay that NJ mortgage off! Just get out of debt was the motto back then. Yet, so many people, young and older, have gotten so buried not just in mortgage debt, over the past decade, but almost every kind of credit-laiden debt available.
This is what brought the financial markets down in NJ. NJ mortgage rates remain very low, but actually getting approved for a mortgage in New Jersey has become tougher. However, it seems more and more people are starting to become financially solvent, and the word on the street now is “pay that big mortgage off!” People in New Jersey are finally starting to live within their means, and make paying off the mortgage on their nj homes, a reality.
Debt, primarily because of the media, has scared a lot of people into thinking they cannot purchase homes in NJ for sale. This is non-sense, but I do understand people, especially younger people, who are legitimately afraid to make a move right now. The media distorts everything.
The biggest and most improtant thing you need to remember, is not to use you NJ homes like a bank. During the refi boom, everyone in New Jersey it seemed, was refinancing their houses and taking out HUGE amounts of money, acting like the equity they gained was profit for them. NJ people felt like millionaires, some even did become millionaires…or so they THOUGHT 
Remember, all that money has to be paid back, so if you decide to take cash out of your NJ home, be very careful and make sure it is for a good cause.
